Brit Floyd Milwaukee Concert reviews
More than just a worthy Tribute To Pink Floyd
If you are a Floyd fan as I have been since Dark Side of the Moon was released in 1973 this band is a must see. They are not only note for note precise, they pick the coolest setlists on the Planet! Mixing songs from nearly every Pink Floyd album they're is something for everbody here. From the Syd Barrett era there is "Set the Controls For The Heart of The Sun", the magnum opus "Echoes" and "One of These Days" from 1971s Meddle, "Time" and the mournful "Great Gig in the Sky" with Eva Avilas standing O worthy rendition from the aforementioned DSOTM, to 75s "Wish You Were Here" and the obligatory but still exceptionally well done Another Brick in the Wall Part 2. There are also songs from later Floyd albums like Division Bells "High Hopes" or Momentary Lapse of Reasons "Learning to Fly" and even "The Final Cut" from the album of the same name.
All in all almost 3 hours of this timeless music for a very reasonable ticket price.
Britfloyd also makes deep cuts interesting with their laser lights and giant circular screen providing constant supplemental videos. " A New Machine" was trippy with a blue light clad Ian Cattell providing the eerie fading vocal.
The Band takes a well deserved 20 minute intermission in between the two sets and usually finish with "Comfortably Numb", Floyds masterpiece from The Wall, and even a one or two song encore, we got "One Slip" and "Run Like Hell".
You can bet we will be back next year for the Dark Side Of The Moons 50th anniversary tour!
